ABOUT USMountain's Hope Community Worship Center (MHCWC) is a Holy Spirit filled, five-fold, apostolic, prophetic, non-denominational and multi-ethnic house of worship. Our ministry is built around three basic foundational principals that produce the apostolic function that brings glory to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, the Founder and Chief Cornerstone of His Church. These foundational principals are: The Great Commission and discipleship (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16: 15-20). The perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-16) The establishing and advancing of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1:15; John 14: 12:14; 1 Peter 2:9) MHCWC is characterized by worship, marked by the presence of God, and by experiencing wonders and miracles in our services and in our lives. Our mission is to build a people to advance the Kingdom of God through teaching, training, reformation, and change. Our goal is to create a vibrant family of hope-filled believers who: "Say What God Says", experience the love and presence of God, walk equipped in their full spiritual authority, and express the joy and power of the Kingdom of God in their everyday lives. MHCWC is not defined by the religion of man, nor from the mind of man, but from the very Spirit of God through the revelation of the five-fold ministry given to His apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, whereby each office has a specific focus, purpose, and anointing. At MHCWC, each office is operational and functioning as Jesus ordained them to be an extension of the Lord Jesus Christ, established to perfect the saints for the work of the ministry and the edification of the body of Christ. While we believe in order, we yield ourselves and our services to the guidance and direction of the Spirit of God first. The ministry of MHCWC is about igniting purpose, hope, and identity through the operation of the gifts of the body of Christ. We are passionate about the Lord's presence and are equally as passionate in helping men, women and children to discover their gifts and purpose, propelling them into their destiny and fulfilling God's promises and purpose for their lives.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITHWe Believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We Believe in the deity of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His burial and bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule over all nations. We Believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. We Believe that regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. We Believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given to Believers who ask for it. We Believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. We Believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Holy life. We Believe in both the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. We Believe that the institution of marriage is between one man and one woman as established by God according to Genesis 2:24 (See our Statement of Marriage, Marriage Policy & Statement on Gender & Sexuality)

OUR STATEMENT ON MARRIAGE & OUR MARRIAGE POLICYWe Believe that the institution of marriage is between one man and one woman as established by God according to Genesis 2:24. We believe in the sanctity of marriage and that marriage is of God; that marriage is a divine joining between a MAN and a WOMAN. Matthew 19:4-6 says: And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate.” We Believe that weddings in our church are Christian worship services and reflect the beliefs of our organization. We Believe that because God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between a man, a woman, and Himself, Mountain's Hope Community Worship Center (hereinafter referred to as MHCWC) will only recognize marriages between a biological man and biological woman. Further, the Apostle, Pastors, Ministers, Clergy, and staff of MHCWC shall only participate in weddings and solemnize marriages between one man and one woman. Finally, the facilities and property of MHCWC shall only host weddings between one man and one woman.

OUR STATEMENT ON GENDER & SEXUALITYWe Believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one's biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. We Believe that the term "marriage" has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Corinthians 6:18 and 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4). We Believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We Believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, beastiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10) We Believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of MHCWC as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the Body of Christ, church members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by MHCWC in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Marriage Policy, Gender and Sexuality. (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:22) We Believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin and seek mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11) We Believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accordance with scripture nor the doctrines of MHCWC.

FINAL AUTHORITY FOR MATTERS OF BELIEF & CONDUCTThe statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For the purposes of MHCWC's faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Apostle, Executive Committee and Board of Directors is MHCWC's final interpretive authority on the Bible's meaning and application.

THE PURPOSE AND POWER OF PRAISE & WORSHIPPraise and worship results in a manifestation of God's presence on behalf of His people. Worship results in victory over enemy forces (1 Chronicles 20-22), comfort (Isaiah 12:1), miracles (Luke 19:37), the church having favor with the community (Acts 2:47), and emotional healing (Isaiah 61:3). As the church on earth enters worship in spirit and truth, she joins the church in heaven and together we make the heart of God rejoice. WHY DO WE SING? Romans 15:11 "Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles, and sing praises to Him, all you peoples." WHY DO WE STAND WHEN WE SING? Nehemiah 9:5 "Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting." WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS? Psalm 47:1 "Oh clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with a voice of triumph!” WHY DO WE WORSHIP WITH FLAGS (BANNERS)? Psalm 60:4 "You have given a banner to those who fear You, that it may be displayed because of the truth!” WHY DO WE HAVE AUDIBLE PRAISE TO GOD? Psalm 119:108 "Accept, O Lord, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me Your laws." WHY IS MUSIC A PART OF THE SERVICE? Psalm 150 "Praise God in His sanctuary...praise Him with the sound of trumpet...praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with the tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
